Youth camp on Riddu!

The Riddu youth/Riddu nuorat is inviting youth between 13 and 17 years to Riddu nuorat camp, July 21.-24. 2011. On the program there is both concerts, soccer tournament, course and fun by the campfire! Riddu Nuorat camp has few places, so sign up today!

 

Riddu Nuorat
Riddu nuorat is a intoxication free youth camp, related to the Riddu Riddu festival, that is arranged from July 21.-24. 2011. Behind the youth camp it is the Riddu youth themselves as organizers, and this year they are promising a full program.
 
Concerts, night time-tournament, course and campfire
The thought behind the camp os to give youth the possibility to experience the sami culture in an intoxication free environment. Culture exchange is also a central part of the camp, being able to learn about, and better understand, their own and other's background is perhaps one of the most important aspects of Riddu Nourat.
 
Thursday the Riddu-week is show time on the Riddu-field for the youth with kick-off concert with Rolffa, Nammaláhpan and other sapmi and local young artist.
 
On the camp place which is places in a grove nearby the festival area, we are putting up lavvo's and campfire-palces. Here we will be gathered for different activities, courses, common meals and fun by the campfire. Bring a sleeping bag and eventually your own tent.
 
The camp is intoxication free ant there will be arranged alcohol tests at set times on the day. Everyone that is a part of the alcohol test, has a chance to win great prizes.
 
Want to be a part of nuorat?
- All youth between 13 and 17 years are welcome to the camp. There is only 30 places, so the trick is to be early. Sign up scheme further down!
- Festival ticket for Riddu Nuorat is 500 NOK and includes common breakfast, admittance to all concerts and activities during the Riddu Riddu festival. The ticked is bought in the info booth at arrival.
- Everyone that is gonna participate at the youth camp must in advance have sent a written allowance from their parents to the producer of the festival: christina@riddu.no . The allowance has to be from the parents/legal guardian themselves and has ho contain contact information.
