Memory selection

This year it is ten years since Áillhoaš, Nils-Aslak Valkeapää, died and for the occasion Riddu Riddu and the Lásságámmi foundation agreed upon a memory selection to celebrate our time's most important Sami artist.

 

As the man himself, the celebration will be diverse, and will be both in Lásságámmi and on the Riddu-field. Marit Myrvoll and Harald Gaski will each be holding a seminar, respectively on religion and art. It will be arranged open day in Lássagámmi, the artist house Áillhoaš himself drew, and on friday there will be a concert on Lávddaš, with Sámi Jienat, Sápmi's biggest, border-crossing choir.

 

Even though Áillhoaš died too early, he left us so much to remember – you should join us!
