Despite the rainy weather om Friday night, people came from everywhere to catch a glimt of the native queen. Buffy Sainte-Marie amazed people in all ages with her music, and her preformance was a tribute to indigenous people all over the world. The consert was a huge and emotional moment for the staf at Riddu Riddu, who have dreamt of seing Buffy preforme here in Kåfjord. Friday night Buffy Sainte-Marie finally gave Riddu Riddu what they have been longing for.

Agnete Båtnes Braaten won the youth talent show at Riddu Riddu

The winning band from Eurovision Junior took the stage on Thursday evening, and amazed the audience with their preformance. The band played several new songs, promoting their new record which will be released in September/October this year.

This year some of the Riddu Riđđu festival is moved to Lássagammi in Storfjord. Two of the seminars will be held in the artistic home of Nils-Aslak Valkeapää during the festival week. There are already attached big expectations to the seminars which are devoted to the Sami art and religion.
