Wimme Sarri is finally coming back to the festival. Wimme is one of the legends in Sámi music. He is a musician who experiments with traditional and modern joik-expressions accompanied with other music styles such as jazz or techno music in a breathtaking live performance.

You might have already seen her on the movie screen. You will now get to see her perform live at Riddu Riđđu 2010.

Four brothers and a sister

This band is composed by the Rundberg siblings. The band has promised a concert with a large and comprehensive content filled with Sea-Sámi pride and gratefulness to their culture and childhood environment. The concert will take place in the Nisga House. The concert will be held for the first time in history wednesday the 21.th

Tinariwen

The band is one of the greatest musical successes of Africa and is finally coming to Riddu Riđđu. The band has a nomadic background from Mali and also a special life story. When they started their musical career they were guerrilla soldiers and have fought their way through with the music as their weapon. The music is rooted in blues, rock, African rhythms and references from the Middle East. This is absolutely a performance to watch at this year’s festival. Tinariwen can be experienced Friday the 23th of July

Duolva Duottar

Duolva Duottar is a Sámi rap group that has made a name for themselves in Sápmi and in Norwegian talent competitions. They are closing the Youth Concert on the main stage of the festival Thursday 21st of July.

Two interesting bands from the Vepsian culture can be expirienced at the festival.

Yourta-concert

This years Yourta-concert with Aidysmaa and Igor Koshkendey will be a near-nature musical journey in the Tuvinian world and their traditional songs. The concert will take place in a traditional Tuvinian residence and is therefore limited to only 20 spectators for each concert. Tickets can be booked in advance at the Information desk.

Johan Anders Bær

Johan Anders Bær from Karasjok is solidly rooted in the classical and traditional joik and brings his voice to you and Riddu Riđđu. He is an artist with strong references to traditional joik, at the same time he is also challenging modern genres.

F.A.C.E it

According to the guys in the band, you can expect electro-pop with a twist. In other words, something you don’t want to miss.
