The Strange Story and The Big Apple
It was a long, long time ago, in a small village by the coast, a place far up north. Here a little festival was cultivated. This festival got a lot of good nutrition and a warm place to stand. It was taken good care of by some nice beings, so the festival grew and grew and it became big and fat, it even got thousands of new fruits. This is how the story about the small, big festival Riddu Riddu began, and now you get to hear more.
Through 20 years there has been gathering of a lot of stories, experiences, artist, workers, audience, memories and things. Through this years anniversary exhibit Riddu's history is becoming new again. New contexts and new stories will be visible. We are drawing RED lines between old and new, we are sorting and shuffling, we are making strange and exciting context.
We are gonna see, smell, hear, feel, taste and maybe other things we don't know yet.
You, as well, has a chance to be a part of this story, so bring a subject, a picture, a poem, a story or something else you associate with the festival. Feel free to bring a little fantasy, wondering and a dose curiosity.
The Riddu Gallery and the contemporary museum of northern people want you hereby welcome to the anniversary exhibit:
